Escape from it all in Mountaineer, a cozy and extremely private log cabin set on a spacious 5-acre lot in the desirable Old Timberline Community. Just minutes from Timberline Ski Resort and all the amenities of Canaan Valley, this home is perfect for families, groups, or a romantic getaway.
The open floor plan features a fully equipped kitchen and a living room with freestanding wood stove. There’s plenty of space for everyone:

Spend your days hiking within the Old Timberline trails, fishing in the community lakes, or simply relaxing on the deck with a book while listening to the birds. 4WD or AWD is strongly recommended in winter.
This home is pet-friendly ($70 per pet fee).

Property was good for our needs. We could have used a larger baking sheet and maybe a 9 x 14 baking dish, but we made do. Rest of the cookware supplied was good. Bathroom on the first floor is small, with larger one downstairs We only had 2 nights and the family enjoyed the stay. The deer roam right through the property. It was a nice property in a great area. We enjoyed the stay and the property.

Easy access to Timberline. No strep driveway (we have previously needed chains AND 4WD to access other houses in Old Timberline, so we were happy to see this wasn't the case). Rental company/owner responsive and efficient.
