Kitchen: Electric Oven, Electric Hob, Microwave, Fridge/Freezer, Washer Dryer
First Floor:
Bedroom 1: Double (4ft 6in) Bed
Bedroom 2: Single (3ft) Bed
Shower Room: Cubicle Shower, Toilet. Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial logs for wood burner included. . Sitting-out area with garden furniture. Private parking for 1 car. Electric car charging port (7KW). Bike rack. No smoking. Please note: There are steep internal stairs.. Situated in the Peak District in the centre of Youlgrave, this charming 250 year old cottage is ideal for walkers, cyclists and those looking for a relaxing break or a touring base from which to explore. The property boasts the Peak District Environmental Quality Mark, making this the ideal choice for those interested in an eco-friendly environment. The owner, who lives on-site, is at hand if you should need any advice about the local area or help with any issue that may arise.
Youlgrave is a village of limestone buildings and an impressive 12th century church, with three pubs, a village shop/tea room, vegetarian bakery, post office and garage, located above Lathkill and Bradford Dales. On an 11-mile radius it takes in the market towns of Buxton, Ashbourne and Chesterfield and is in close proximity to Bakewell and Matlock. Haddon Hall and Chatsworth House are both a short drive away and well worth the visit, and the former can also be reached within a very pleasant 40-minute walk. Shop and restaurant 200 yards, pub 100 yards.

Ideal location well served by local facilities and within easy driving distance of plenty of attractions. Hosts live next door and were very accommodating. The property is well equipped.

Great location, excellent for a lot of local walking. Our host Lisa was very accommodating and arranged for us to have an early check-in which was great. There are three good pubs in the village as well as a couple of bakeries.

What a lovely cottage and an excellent host. The village of Youlgrave is stunning with plenty of local amenities, x3 pubs, Post Office, Local store and Bakery. Never been to a place which is so praceful at night with no light pollution. Well located for many of the Peak District's pleasures. The log burner was particularly enjoyed as it was still with chilly towards the end of April. Would definately recommend.
