Beautiful rustic lodge located on Lake Guntersville with private boat ramp/dock.

Overall cabin was beautiful. We loved the layout of the property and space. We will book again

Five stars are not enough! We were in the home for a week to attend a wedding. The home was exactly as described in the listing. Hosted a catered formal Rehearsal Dinner one evening on the porch overlooking the lake. (Punctuated by watching the local fireworks display across the river). Had a Fourth of July cookout for family and ate in the detached room with awesome views of the lake. The location is very convenient for necessary shopping (Publix) and the Stonehaven Event location in Section. Kitchen is HUGE and well stocked. Bedrooms are spacious and all have in suite bathrooms. Plenty of parking. Owner and proper manager were tenacious to rapidly fix several minor facility issues. The property is fairly private and extremely quiet. Furniture, beds, linens are in great condition and comfortable.

Terrific Home and host. The stay couldn’t be any better. Spacious for everyone and so many bathrooms, no one had to wait in line. The grandkids loved the dock where they could fish. Grandpa loved the grill. And we all loved the game room. Probably my favorite was the covered wraparound porch. This was definitely the best rental I’ve ever had. Hope to come back soon.

Overall we had a great time at this property. Unfortunately we did have some issues. The owner had to meet us at the property with the keys and felt a tour was necessary, which was a little awkward. It also required extra communication and coordination. The house was as pictured in the ad, plenty of room for the entire family with great kitchen space for big families. However the main living room and kitchen area had a very potent smell that we had to contend with during our stay. Very similar to an animal urine smell. The dock is not swimmer friendly, and does not provide great access for lounging or sunbathing. The dock is also shared with other residents which is not disclosed in the advertisement. We were only told that someone would be coming on the 4th to take their boat from the dock, but we stayed for 5 nights and every day we were there we had traffic in and out of the sheds and the boat dock. Neighbors and owner, who were all very friendly, but this lack of privacy made the stay a little uncomfortable. Not what we are normally used to for a VRBO stay.
