The perfect house for 1 or 2 families, or 3 couples or a romantic get away for two!! With 4 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms - we are bound to be able to comfortably accommodate your group for a wonderful KI holiday.
Expect to see wallabies for a night feed close to the deck! Also kangaroos can be seen on the property - I saw one early in the morning from the lounge room window! To feed the little wallabies - I buy the birdseed from the local Drakes Supermarket in Kingscote - but you can also put out your vegetable scraps - they especially love carrots and lettuce!
Lots of native Australian birds including parrots, blue wrens and of course magpies fly around the many trees.
The back deck is amazing - great both day and night. It is really spacious and well protected and has a large outdoor dining table and chairs and a gas Weber BBQ. There is plenty of lighting directed out onto the garden so you still have lovely bush views even at night and can see any wallabies easily!
The log combustion fire in the kitchen, lounge and dining area makes the house warm and cosy in the winter months. Wood is provided and there is plenty of kindling to be found outside. Also a split system air conditioner and heater.
All linen and bath towels are provided.
The two main bedrooms have a King bed with ensuite bathroom and a Queen bed. Both these beds have electric blankets so you can be nice and snug in bed in the winter months. Both bedrooms have bedside tables with lamps, beautiful bush views and the beds are really comfortable! The third bedroom has two single beds - great for kids. The fourth bedroom has a Double-Single bunk bed plus a desk - great for doing a little bit of work if necessary.
We have a porta cot & high chair for the young...
And a rocking chair for the old!
Walk to the beach from the house... - the beach is down the driveway, directly across the road at the end of a little path through the bush - dogs love it and there’s barely a soul to see once on the beach ....
We have lots of games, including scrabble, Rummy, Uno and cards to occupy the kids. Plus colouring in pencils and children's story books.
We also have totem tennis, a cricket set, lots of soccer and footy balls - Fun for any kids! There is plenty of open space for cricket, footy or to kick a soccer ball.
Kangaroo Island is definitely well recovered after the bushfires.... luckily Magpie Park was untouched by the fires. Thank you!

Beautiful farm setting. Clean very comfortable farmhouse with generous amounts of condiments provided. Our dog loved the open space and had a great time. Lots of wonderful wildlife.The location is really good, ten minutes out from Kingscote and close to Emu beach. For some reason there is no spa pool despite being listed as an amenity.The immediate surrounding garden area is not well maintained, but understandable after a long hot summer, and the need to conserve rainwater in a rural setting. The host online communication is excellent and provides loads of ideas for things to do and places to eat.

Was a great location and plenty of space to just beout off the rest race. Our fur baby loved it and it was well suited to his needs also.

This property made a perfect base for our trip to Kangaroo Island. The house had everything we needed and as host Julie included provisions we never would have thought would be included such as toiletries, coffee machine pods and lovely gifts. The communication after booking and throughout our stay was fantastic, full of the essential information as well as suggestions and tips for our stay. We really hope to be back soon!

Once we reserved our booking, our gracious host Julie provided a detailed list of the properties features in addition to multiple recommendations of places to visit on Kangaroo Island.
The house was lovely and remote yet very central to all of Kangaroos Islands charms - the wood fire was amazing!
