The house
A traditional stone house, renovated top to bottom. Designer interiors balanced with the original character of the building. Completely secluded — this is the real Greece, not a resort.
The beaches
Five minutes down the hill in either direction. 60km of undeveloped, sandy beach in one continuous stretch. A different beach for every day of your stay.
Eat like a Greek, not a tourist
The local market town is five minutes away — fresh fish, fruit, vegetables, and what we think is the best bread in Greece. Help yourself to olive oil pressed from our own grove, free for guests. Family-run tavernas nearby serve genuine Greek food at genuine local prices, and there are long-established vineyards just down the road.

The property is absolutely comfortable and well equipped. The views are ‘to die for’. It’s a very short drive into the village of Zacharo where there are a couple very good grocery stores and a number of good restaurants and bakeries. There are also some amazing restaurants within about 15-29 minutes.

Overall we had a great holiday our hosts ellie and Charlie were really helpful
And welcoming. however we were there for a week and the first three days a builder directly below our property working on new holiday houses started breaking up large rocks with a jcb and hammer drill so what we had hoped would be a peaceful week certainly didn’t turn out that way. The noise was horrendous and constant from 8am-5pm - Ellie and Charlie had not been aware of this work and did speak to the builder who ceased using the heavy machinery from mid week which was a welcome relief but so upsetting given we were only there for a week and picked the property for its total tranquility . The area is very rural and unspoilt and the property is lovely and had everything we had hoped for and was well equipped. You have far distant sea views and overlook olive groves but you certainly cannot walk to the beach a car is therefore absolutely essential. We had two earthquake tremors during our stay .. very minor and we were told common in this area but a little alarming when we had never experienced anything like it before.
The local town a short drive away has supermarkets and a selection of shops so you can get everything you need for a self catering holiday. The property is in a stunning location but certainly wouldn’t be a place to take young children as there are steep steps down to the pool area and once down by the pool it isn’t fenced.
