The Space:

Mountain Hideaway is a Victorian mansion on seven city lots in Leadville, Colorado — 1 block from Main Street. The home has 9 bedrooms, 9.5 bathrooms, and sleeps 18 guests across king and queen beds, each room with its own smart TV.

The main living area is open-concept with a pool table (converts to dining), poker/game table (also converts to dining), 65-inch HDTV, and a quality stereo system. Between the convertible tables and kitchen counter seating, there's dining space for the full group.



The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, a gas range, and enough counter and storage space for group cooking. Kitchen counter seating for four.



The spa area includes a private outdoor hot tub and a 4-person infrared sauna with complimentary tea and yoga mats. The fitness area has Bowflex adjustable weights with bench and kettlebells.



Outside: fenced yard, BBQ grill, multiple decks with mountain views.



Connectivity: 1 Gbps internet (verified) — enough bandwidth for the entire group to stream, video call, and work simultaneously. Every bedroom has a TCL Smart TV.

Portable AC unit in the main living room. Bedrooms do not have AC — at 10,152 ft elevation, Leadville rarely needs it, even in summer. Nights are cool year-round.

→ No central AC: Portable unit in the living room only. At 10,152 ft, most summer days stay comfortable, but bedrooms can warm up on hot afternoons. Fans available on request.

→ Basement tenant: A tenant lives in the basement apartment with a separate entrance. The basement is not accessible to guests. The tenant keeps to himself and guests rarely notice.

To protect your stay, you'll choose one of two options during online check-in: a $350 refundable security deposit (a temporary card hold, released after checkout) or a small damage waiver ($20/night, max $160).



Guest Access:

The entire home is yours — make yourself at home. Kitchen, living room, game room, spa, hot tub, decks, and yard are all accessible.



Self check-in via smart lock. Your code is in the digital guidebook sent before arrival.



The basement is not accessible — it's a separate apartment with its own entrance.



Laundry: washer/dryer located upstairs near the Yosemite room.



Parking: free on-street parking. Plenty of room for large groups with multiple vehicles.

Mountain Hideaway sits on a quiet, tree-lined street 1 block from Harrison Avenue — Leadville's Main Street. The property is on seven city lots with a fenced yard and mountain views, but everything downtown is a 1-minute walk.



Leadville is Colorado's highest incorporated city at 10,152 ft, surrounded by Mt. Elbert (14,439 ft) and Mt. Massive (14,428 ft) — the state's two tallest peaks. The town is small, authentic, and walkable — independent restaurants, historic bars, local shops, and year-round outdoor access.

Getting Around:

You'll want a car for day trips — ski resorts, trailheads, and lakes require driving. But downtown Leadville is a 1-minute walk from Mountain Hideaway. No car needed for restaurants, bars, and shops.



From Denver (DEN): ~2hr drive via I-70 W to Hwy 91 S. Route crosses Fremont Pass (11,318 ft) — AWD/4WD or chains recommended Nov–Apr.



From Eagle/Vail (EGE): ~1hr drive, fewer mountain passes.



Rideshare: limited availability in Leadville. Do not rely on Uber/Lyft.



Parking: free on-street at the property. Room for multiple vehicles.



EV drivers: 2 Tesla EV chargers on-site, free for guests.

For stays longer than 15 days, a mid-stay cleaning is required and an additional fee of $150 will apply. This helps us maintain a high standard of cleanliness and ensures the home stays comfortable for the duration of your stay.



Smoking/Vaping: strictly prohibited throughout the entire property — indoors, decks, patios, hot tub, and yard. Tobacco on the sidewalk/street only. Marijuana outside only. Reservations cancelled for smoking on property.



Basement: a tenant lives in a separate basement apartment with their own rear entrance. The basement is not accessible to guests.



Wildlife: Leadville is in the mountains — occasional wildlife and insects. Keep doors closed when possible.



Altitude: 10,152 ft. Altitude sickness (dizziness, nausea, headache) is common for visitors from lower elevations. Hydrate well, take it easy on day one. We recommend travel insurance if you're concerned. No refunds for altitude-related issues.



Sustainability: powered by renewable wind energy offsets. Please help by turning off lights, adjusting heat, and recycling.
