Burnbank is set in a beautiful, peaceful location with many walks nearby and is perfect for keen walkers and cyclists.. Ground Floor:

Situated in the quiet village of Kirkgunzeon, close to the town of Dalbeattie, this spacious semi-detached holiday cottage looks onto a bubbling stream at the bottom of the garden. There are various walks available, from scenic coastal walks to marked forest trails with the world class Dalbeattie 7 Stanes mountain trail close by, as well as Mabie Forest - it is a popular location for mountain bikers of all levels. With sailing, swimming, riding, fishing, golf, boat trips and water sports close by, there is sure to be something for everyone. Warmed by the Gulf Stream, there are many beautiful gardens to visit, including Threave Gardens (National Trust), historical sites and castles to explore. Discover the Solway Coast with its extensive sandy beaches, rocky coves, traditional fishing villages and harbour ports. Kirkcudbright, the artists’ town, has art galleries, antique shops, museums and shops while Castle Douglas, Scotlands Food Town, is a traditional market town with many local foods available. Beach 7 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 4 miles.

Great well laid out cottage. Owners quick to respond and very helpful with issue we had. Definitely a dog friendly space so something to consider if you have allergies. But we'd definitely book again. Thank you for having us 💚

We had a very relaxing stay at Burnbank Cottage, the cottage is well equipped with everything you need for cooking and doing your washing if you're so inclined to do so the beds where the best beds we have slept in while holidaying, it was cold but can only expect for the time off year but once the heating kicks in it's very cosy . We will definitely be booking this cottage again hopefully very soon .

The cottage is well equipt and in a beautiful rural setting, situated around 10miles out to lovely towns and beaches.
The description doesn't make it clear that the garden is not at the rear of the house but across the road .

We had an amazing time at the cottage, all communication was great, the cottage is warm and cozy with plenty of home comforts, the games and wii and Xbox were a hit with my son, I can’t recommend it highly enough 5*****
