Welcome to Challenger Views on Ridgecrest! Enjoy vintage modern luxury, expansive views, a great open kitchen, two private bedrooms and second floor deck for stargazing during your Crestone stay. This beautiful space is located on the far edge of the Baca Grande Subdivision less than a mile from the North Sand Dunes Park entrance. It's a great place to stay and explore Crestone and the San Luis Valley or enjoy a resting getaway.Challenger Views is a great place for vacations with family and friends, or quiet retreats.
This brand-new home features two private bedrooms with two full bathrooms,a large spacious living area with comfortable couch, which also pulls out to a bed for additional guests; anda large spacious kitchen stocked with dishware and bakeware for your stay. The kitchen features stainless steel appliances, a dishwasher, oven and range with large fridge and freezer. The dining area is elegant and has seating for six. The downstairs features one queen bedroom with full bathroom and a spacious laundry room.Next to the dining area upstairs is the second bedroom area which has its own kitchenette, living area, full bathroom and porch with outdoor seating. This is a great setup for families and groups that want two separate living areas for their stay. Each floor has its own private entrance and parking so you can find privacy or gather togetherduring your stay.
The outdoor areas are relaxing and peaceful for your mountain getaway. The backyard area has a table with umbrella and BBQ grill for evening enjoyment. The private entrance has a small bistro seating area for guests to enjoy as well. There is great walking and hiking trails nearby. The North Entrance of Sand Dunes National Park is a quiet area with very few people and is great for hiking and exploring without having to drive to the main entrance of the park.

Creekside nature trails, starry nights at Sand Dunes National Park, and nature photography out the back door makes this an excellent place to expand our connect to nature and explore spirituality.
Enjoy great tasting mountain water and explore the beautiful San Luis Valley expansive mountain views, Sand Dunes National Park, elegant Sand Hill Cranes, dark night skies for star gazing and be on the look for UFOS, many stories of sightings have been heard around Crestone! There are many local hiking trails nearby the house, some folks suggest the North Crestone Trailhead, Willow Lake is a great day hike, and the Creekside trails along the greenbelts in the Baca Grande Subdivision are spectacular and lush. The Challenger Views on Ridgecrest is a great place for outdoor enthusiasts and folks looking for a peaceful mountain getaway.
Crestone Colorado is in the middle of the San Luis Valley. There is very limited public transportation in the area. We recommend Four Wheel Drive, or at least- All Wheel Drive if you are looking to come and stay during the Winter Season.

Crestone is a beautiful small town with some really unique and amazing locally owned stores and businesses. Local people feel grateful to have so many great places to shop and dine right in our small town. There are two small locally owned grocers, where you can find top of the line health food, vitamins and organic whole food. Enjoy dining in one of the locally owned cafes or restaurants and support the local artisans at one of the galleries or gift shops. We love our local thrift stores, so many hidden treasures can be found!

Crestone is situated at the base of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, boasting several fourteen-thousand-foot peaks and pristine alpine lakes for outdoor hiking, camping and fishing. The wildlife refuges and protected forests create incredible opportunities to come close to nature and truly experience the wildlife. Great for bird watching, photography, art, hiking, biking and camping. There are so many ways to appreciate and explore nature around Crestone.

This property, nestled out in a growing development, is a peaceful and relaxing place to explore the Crestone area from. You can hike to a couple interesting sites directly from it, and spend your evenings staring at the Milky Way as it makes its journey across the star filled sky. The main floor kitchen has everything you need if you're the type to make your own meals. The furniture is comfortable and there's plenty of space. Access to laundry is a bonus. Would stay here again if I'm ever back in the area.

Wonderful house and the views are incredible. The kitchen has everything you need. Overall, the place is very peaceful and comfortable.Keep in mind there are only 2 queen beds. A minor quibble for an otherwise outstanding property.We would love to return one day.

This home was a beautiful, relaxing place to stay at while we explored Crestone and the Great Sand Dunes National Park. The home was clean, comfortable, and spacious. I would highly recommend it!

This immaculate property was perfect for our stay in Crestone! It was a great location for hiking in the Sangre De Crista Mountains, and the sand dunes. The property was so clean, and very well cared for. Erin, the owner, was easily contacted and gave us a lot of information.
