Lawned garden with sitting-out area, garden furniture and barbecue (shared). Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. Built by Sir Harry Verney in the early 20th century, this interesting country house has been cleverly converted into a small cluster of holiday apartments. This wing of Wern y Wylan Court with sea views is a striking example of Arts and Crafts architecture. There is a shared garden and barbecue area, ideal for dining al-fresco. The holiday property is in an AONB, surrounded by countryside, forests and the sandy beach of Red Wharf Bay, only 0.5 miles away, and is perfect to discover local tourist attractions, including Beaumaris with its 13th-century castle, gaol, courthouse and restaurants. Discover the island’s varied coastline, perfect for all watersports, horse riding, golf courses, leisure centres, Anglesey Sea Zoo, Plas Newydd (National Trust) and day trips to Snowdonia, and even Dublin. went on the 2nd of September for 4 nights found the appartment very clean well equipped good wi-fi.TV was a bit dodgy the gardens are very nice with plenty of benches to eat outside location was good the beach just down the road was very muddy along the beach path could have done with wellies and there is a walk just nearer the red squirrel walk first turning on the left.The single track leading to the apartment is a bit dodgy just hope that no traffic comes along although not busy.

We had a lovely few days at the Hawthorn. It is a bit remote but ideal for walking and lovely pubs nearby.

My daughters and I had a very comfortable stay. The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed. The only area to improve is to make the door to the apartment more secure. Only 20 mins walk to the beach. Lovely walk to Red Wharf Bay. Excellent homemade food at Owain Glyndwr pub in Llanddona.

We did not expect to have to have our lovely happy dog on a lead whilst in the property grounds. Then we found out why! The owners dog attacked our dog! it was awful, her horrid, viscous dog should be tied up and and should wear a muzzle, it worries us that next time a child could be hurt. The owner was not interested at all, she shouted and argued, she said that it was our fault, that we should read the notes inside the apartment and that our dog should be on a lead (but it’s okay for her horrid vicious dog to run free?) Needless to say, this spoilt our trip!
