THE NEIGHBORHOOD
The unit is located in a laid back neighborhood and bordered by The University District, Fremont, GreenLake and Phinney Ridge. Nearby parks include Christie Park, University Playground and Sadako Peace Park. Because of its proximity to the UW campus, there are always plenty of bars and restaurants bustling with locals! Well-known chefs have moved their restaurants here and trendy restaurants have been popping up all over which has really raised the bar for dining in the area. University Village is a great shopping area with well known shops and some boutiques, too. Just a 5 minute drive from the house you will find Woodland Park Zoo. Woodland Park Zoo now has 250 species, 900 animals and 92 acres! You can surely make a full day of this trip if you`re up for it. You could also check out Gas Works Park on Wallingford`s south edge. It’s the perfect place to set up your own picnic and relax by the water while enjoying the historical remnants of – no surprise given the park`s name – an old gasification plant. Some of the plant has been recently renovated into a brand new children`s play area.
Wallingford is the most walkable neighborhood of Seattle so getting around by foot is no problem. It is very bikable too. We are situated in a convenient place for public transportation, with several bus stops nearby to downtown Seattle, Fremont, South Lake Union, or the University District for the University of Washington. It is just a 10 minute walk to the new UW lightrail station. You can also drive into downtown Seattle in about 15 minutes, and Uber/Lyft are widely available.

Great property for spending a week in Seattle with family! We had a great time each having our own floor. The stairs could get a little exhausting for one of our older guests, but she was able to manage! We felt like the location was extremely central for everything that we wanted to do across the city, with many things in walking distance, including a beautiful neighborhood.

Rental was awesome. Beautiful views and well stocked. Appreciate the Nespresso pods, plenty of toilet paper and a well stocked kitchen. Beds were very comfortable. We did not have a car, but online parking looked like a nightmare, but a block from the city bus, which was extremely convenient. It was an easy 15 minute walk to the link train station. Would stay here again.
