In the unique atmosphere of the Fens’ landscape of huge skies, spectacular sunsets and fishing rivers, this cluster of quality barn conversions is the perfect place to relax and unwind. They are comfortably furnished and tastefully decorated to a very good standard. This tranquil spot boasts footpath walks on the owners’ 280-acre arable farm, an undercover courtyard and an indoor heated swimming pool and hot tub. Ely, 6 miles, occupying the largest island in the Fens, has a history dating back to Hereward the Wake and later, Oliver Cromwell. Its superb 11th century cathedral is surrounded by monastic buildings, medieval gateways and narrow streets leading down to the marina and river walks. King’s Lynn and Cambridge are easily accessible. Shops, riverside inns and restaurants at Littleport, 3 miles.. All properties: Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Cot and Highchair. Shared laundry room with two washer/dryers. Shared undercover courtyard and furniture. Shared covered barbecue area with gas barbecue. Parking. Shared indoor heated swimming pool 7m x 3m, depth 1.2m, open all year 9am - 7pm (private use by arrangement between 7pm - 9pm) with changing room, shower cubicle and toilet. No smoking.

We loved our week at Pheasant. The barn had a lovely feel and the little swimming pool was just lovely. It is very remote and flat countryside but we found it very restful and loved seeing so many wild deer.

What a lovely place! Susan could not have been more helpful. We stayed over Christmas and were warm, comfortable and cosy and we had everything we needed. The extendable table would easily have seated 6. Nice decor and the bedding and towels were good. The hot tub was wonderful and the hot tub/swimming pool area is even nicer than it looks in the pictures. We didn't use the outside space but it was a great area. Great views and sunset. Need good suspension for the two mile journey from the main road. Barn has nice features but no opening windows in living areas so needed to leave door open so kept getting visited by the owners and a visiting dog. As advertised as pet free husband was not too happy about this. Due to COVID pool use was allocated and could have been done better but great facility when we could use it.

We had a pleasant stay in Pheasant barn. It is in a quiet, out of the way, location and 3 miles to the nearest amenities.
It was warm and fairly cosy, so good for a winter break.
