This traditional flint and brick semi-detached holiday cottage is tucked away in a small courtyard of four properties in the heart of this bustling seaside town, within walking distance of the harbour, well known for its fresh shellfish, the many shops, cafes and inns. Excellent sandy beach 1 mile from harbour. Ideal for a family holiday by the sea and exploring the beautiful North Norfolk coastline. Sailing, windsurfing, boat trips, riding and cycling available locally. RSPB bird and nature reserve close by. Holkham Hall parkland and beach 2 miles. Sandringham Royal Estate and museum 10 miles. Shops, pubs and restaurant 800 yards.

Me and my husband booked a 4 night stay mon - fri. The cottage was easy to find and accessible. The car Port is right opposite the cottage (but remember there is height restrictions).Inside the cottage was clean and homely, very well equipped. The shower was lovely and hot, bed very comfortable. Overall a lovely cottage and would recommend it. It’s a very short walk to the harbour where you’ll find all the shops and eateries. Great for crabbing. There is a female fisherman and sells her produce to the general public you just need to message her on Instagram. Her details are on a plack on the railings in front of the boats on the quay side. We got 2 good size lobsters which we cooked that night whilst still fresh and were delicious. Also whilst out and about in the car going towards Salthouse there are several houses that sell fresh mussels another great meal we had with those and also delicious. There is also a pub called the dun cow at salthouse and serve delicious food. Would strongly recommend. The Edinburgh pub in wells is also good for drinks and food and very affordable. Overall we had a lovely week eating, drinking, walking and meeting some lovely people. Lovely walks, the dogs were glad to be back home for a rest!!! We will definitely be returning next year.

Wonderful cottage in perfect location. Only moan was that there was no washing machine and it’s in the photos so was expecting one but found one at the coop so was sorted. Also the people staying in the cottage next door kept leaving their dog and it constantly barked. Very comfortable would recommend

Lovely few days spent in this pretty cottage which is in a brilliant location, really close to the harbour and with its own parking space. The cottage is pretty and a good size but we agree with other reviews in that it does need some money spending on it. It was dusty, with cobwebs on a few walls, and the bathroom and kitchen could do with being replaced. I washed everything in the kitchen before using it - it definitely felt a bit dark and a little unclean. Overall though it was a pleasant stay. Slightly frustrating that you can’t get in until 4pm and the cleaner arrived by 9.50am which all felt a little pressured esp around two young children. Thankfully other reviews had warned of this so we were prepared and organised!
