The Space
Second Breakfast Cabin is a private, three-level home in a quiet gated mountain community with direct access to hiking and riding trails.
Inside, the open-concept main level features soaring windows, a cozy wood-burning fireplace, and a fully equipped kitchen ideal for family meals and group gatherings. A sunroom offers a quiet place to relax, while the lower-level game room features foosball, air hockey, and board games. Smart TVs on all three levels and high-speed internet keep everyone connected.
Step outside to a large deck with a private hot tub, gas grill, and outdoor dining area overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains. The fenced yard provides a safe space for kids and dogs to play.

Comfortably designed for families and groups, with space to spread out across three levels:
• Main Level: Queen bedroom (Rohan Room)
• Upper Level: Queen bedroom (Rivendell Room) + loft with 2 twin beds
• Lower Level: Queen bedroom (Fangorn Room) + twin bunk bed in common area
• Each level includes a full bathroom

The cabin is located in the 4000-acre Leatherwood Mountain Resort in Ferguson, NC. Guests can enjoy horseback riding adventures (reservations required), and experience the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains’ pristine wilderness. Guests have access to miles of hiking trails, mountain streams, stocked fishing pond, community swimming pool, playground and tennis courts, creek tubing (seasonal), on-site restaurant with active live music & event calendar (guest advised to check hours when planning meals).
Leatherwood Mountains has surveillance or recording devices on the property. Our neighborhood is very safe and our property very secluded. For added peace of mind, we have security cameras by the gated entrance and common areas. Individual properties may also have cameras on the EXTERIOR of homes. Please be assured they are not directed at private areas, hot tub porches etc.

We absolutely loved the Lord of the Rings themed house! Beautiful view off the deck. The air hockey table and foosball table are a bit old but still fun to play on. We used the grill and fireplace without any issue. It was a perfect spot for a relaxing long weekend

Our stay at Second Breakfast was wonderful. Our children and grandchildren enjoyed the hot tub and we made good use of the fireplace. Certain areas of the cabin had not been cleaned and the dryer was not working properly but when we contacted property management, Carolyn and Sue worked hard to resolve our issues.to make sure we were satisfied. We would definitely stay at this property again because it was very spacious with lots of little extras. The other reason is because Property Management worked hard to make sure our stay was enjoyable.

The cabin was huge & cozy & we loved that it was pet friendly and they had the whole yard fenced in so our dogs could roam around! We arrived at dark and the winding roads & sharp curves were very hard to navigate & the map to our cabin was hard to read! The cabin could have been a little cleaner, the showers had hair and other debris in them & the sheets looked slept in we had to change sheets before we slept that 1st night!
