The open plan living space is well planned, with a well-equipped kitchen with electrical appliances. The beamed living area boasts a cosy wood burner and comfy sofa to curl up on and relax, alongside a dining area to sit and enjoy your morning brunch or evening supper. The spacious bedroom with arched window and shutter looks out onto the garden, with a king size bed set with quality bed linen. Outside is a large, enclosed lawned garden and wooded area with gravelled terrace, set within shrubbery and looking out to open countryside where you can see an array of wildlife.
Conveniently close to the A697, Shawdon Hill Coach House affords easy access to explore this beautiful and historic part of North Northumberland. The market town of Alnwick with its castle, the stunning Alnwick Gardens and a wide array of independent shops, galleries and eateries is just 8 miles away. The picture-postcard town of Rothbury sitting at the foot of the Simonside and Lordenshaw Hills, with Cragside Hall on its outskirts, is 9 miles away. Wooler is a welcoming market town 11 miles from the property, nestled at the foot of the Cheviot Hills and offering a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants. A lovely, cosy, clean and well equipped cottage. Conveniently located for walks in Cheviots or the many beautiful coastal villages.We watched lovely sunsets from the garden.As the cottage is very close to the road there was traffic noise - especially at commuter times, however this would not stop us from returning to this lovely cottage which is great value for money.Thank you to the owners.

A lovely little gem of a cottage. We had a lovely time on our first trip to Northumbria. The coastline is amazing with some of the best beaches ive visited. Alnwick is a great little town and not overpriced like the Lake district. We will be booking again.

The cottage was very clean, comfortable, value for money and had everything needed for a lovely holiday. The garden was reassuringly secure for a dog that was desperate but unsuccessful in her attempts to escape to chase the many rabbits.Thank you

A lovely spot for a few days away to relax and unwind. The property was clean and well-maintained and was a lovely base to explore beautiful Northumberland. The only downside was the noise from the adjacent busy road but it it did quieten down late evening. Would stay again
