4-min. Walk to the Beach! Jacana Cabana is a family and dog friendly beach house at Oceanside Village, SC. 2 bedroom/2 bathroom. No Pet Fee. Golf cart included. Free parking. Room for 5 guests (plus infant/toddler). Linens provided. Baby items included. Each (queen) bedroom has a full bathroom. Full-size sofa bed. 3 Roku TVs in living room and bedrooms. Covered patio, stand-up washer & dryer and parking for 2 cars. Amenities: outdoor pools (indoor heated), hot tub, playground, gym and more! 6 Golf Cart Rules: Operating the golf cart means you inherently agree to follow all OSV regulations, South Carolina traffic laws and local municipal ordinances. By driving a cart, you consent to comply with the following:
1. Minimum age requirement: 21
2. Riding boundaries: East side of US17 Business South. Riding outside of these boundaries is strictly prohibited and punishable by law. To ensure user safety, golf cart is monitored by tracking device.
3. Risk and liability: by reserving Jacana Cabana, guests take full responsibility for any damage or injury to property, self and others.
4. Damage: guests agree to pay a $500 fee for damages or injuries incurred.
5. Lost keys: guests agree to pay $50 for lost or stolen golf cart key.
6. If the golf cart battery dies and needs to be pushed or towed, use the tow mode to prevent the batteries from dying. Lost or stolen charger: guests are solely responsible for the battery charger during the length of their stay and if stolen or damaged, guests agree to pay for all costs incurred by the host to replaced it.

Hosts were extremely prompt with their replies and always communicated kindly and efficiently. Check in process was easy. Most everything we needed was at the house- sheets, bath towels, cookware, etc. so we definitely appreciated the convenience. The home itself was clean and well-kept, just a little dated. The drain stopper in the bathroom of the smaller bedroom was broken but we were able to temporarily fix it. The master bedroom’s bathroom sink was slow to drain but it wasn’t the end of the world. The light above the dining room table flickered continuously so we just left it off. Otherwise it was a nice place- it was clean, had working AC, comfy beds, and a roof over our heads. It was super convenient being able to walk to the beach as well!

This is a tough review for me. Overall it was a good stay. Minor issues getting access to the property, getting access to the golf cart and beach supplies. Minor issues with condition of property (several very soft spots in the floor-apparently another guest had actually had his foot go through the floor, some cleaning issues and the exterior a bit neglected. The host was friendly and responsive until we checked out. The location is great, right near the beach. The house is comfortable. Things I wish I knew: 1-bring any oil/seasoning/ etc you will want, 2-the pass to get into and out of the community (other than main gate) is not included, 3-beach supplies (limited) and outdoor shower are at the outside rear of house, 4-AC thermostat is maxed low of 70 degrees, 5-make sure you get access code before arriving. Overall it was a good spot. Not luxury but comfortable for the week we were there.
