Imagine sitting on a deck looking out over the forest. A slight breeze is flowing. Home for 5 days. When a group of friends (since 1993) converged on the owl’s roost we were delighted, excited and made to feel as if we had entered into a friendly, welcoming space. It’s very rare in our years of meeting that we say, “yes, we should come back here!” The hot tub placement on the deck allowed for expansive views and the ability to partake as the afternoon rains sprinkled down. Wayne and Margene were responsive, gracious hosts.

Had a lovely time with our family of 9 at Owls Roost. The house was well equipped for all our needs. Enjoyed the hot tub, the views, and the wrap around porch. Everything went well. We all enjoyed our visit to the Blue Ridge Mountains.

This was the perfect place for our family. Plenty of space for adults and kids to spread out and the hot tub was amazing. Plenty of supplies to cook and the included firewood was an awesome surprise!

Cluttered space and no linens or towels provided which we had to ask for.
