Fully renovated 1970s home and preserved country retreat only 3 miles from downtown Chapel Hill. Groceries and restaurants a mile away.
Unwind and explore acres of sprawling meadow, private walking trails, and stocked fishing pond. Fire up the Big Green Egg, Wilmington propane grill or Solo stove as you enjoy stargazing, wildlife sightings & more...
We like our guests as comfortable as we`d want to be! We only purchase quality linens & household products, and leave abundantly stocked dry goods and common amenities as a rule--so you can focus on the important stuff.
Primary bedroom with king bed, full bath ensuite, shared shower.
Travelers with pets:
No cats permitted. Maximum of two dogs. No pets on furniture. Guests responsible for disposing of pet waste bags inside of larger trash bags, not loose in can.

Correction: our stay was between Sep 10-Sep 16, 2025 ( see image attached). Dovefield is a magical place, with trees, trails, ponds, birds, yoga mat in the front porch and fenced-in back porch where we could watch our dogs play while chatting with family. Our entire stay was serene and restful. Hosts were thoughtful people who prepared a wonderful home away from home for us to stay.
