Nice place for navy family to stay and feel a home. Good by communicate with host. Tabby cat name Lio, He's sweet and welcome us there. TIPS Only 20 mins to Gurnee Mill (big mall) to shopping and eat food courts also big room of arcade, bowling, pool table, foods, and bar and Six Flags Great America for fun Wish we knew to eat at Silo restaurant in Great Lakes near Navy base early, we would eat there more. All foods taste so good. Need fix creak floor in living room.

Property was clean and had everything we needed. Easy to get to, nice parking and no issues checking in. Very close to Six Flags, local beach and Gernee Mills mall. Only negative about the property was the squeaky floors. Other than that we had a great stay.

Nice place

The property was spotlessly clean and well-maintained. The location turned out to be better than some previous reviews had led us to expect. The neighborhood varies block to block, but the immediate area felt safe and attractive. Proximity to Sheridan Road to the east and a lovely bike and walking path to the west is a plus, especially given how beautiful the surrounding area was this time of year with lilacs and white spiraea in full bloom. We arrived to find the beds made without top sheets. We located a linen closet stocked with fitted sheets and managed to piece things together with a couple of unmatched top sheets. There were also no extra blankets or pillows available — items we'd consider standard for any rental or hotel. We raised the blanket issue with the host, who was responsive in communication but unfortunately didn't follow through with a solution. The space is very minimal — think functional over charming, with sparse decor and no landscaping to speak of. But if a clean, no-fuss space is all you need, it definitely delivers.
