Het uitzicht tijdens het ontbijt was prachtig, het ontbijt zelf was heerlijk en de host Nima tilde alles naar een hoger niveau!

De kamer was wat klam door het gebrek aan ventilatie en de poreuze stenen in de badkamer. De deuren tegen elkaar openzetten in combinatie met de ventilator deed wonderen!

A bit far from the centre of Ella. Tuktuks are significantly more expensive than on the west coast.

The room was nice and big - we were upgraded by the owner before our arrival and it was indeed nicer than the double rooms. The views from the balcony were super and the breakfast was generous. You are a bit outside of Ella so it is very quite but still quite easy to get into town. Nima, the guy that runs the place, is very nice and has his own tuk tuk. He picked us up from the station and also offered us rides to and from town at a very good price. When we needed something, he always helped us! We als

The photos on booking and google don't reflect the state of the building. The first floor has the rooms of the hotel and is ok. The ground floor and drive way are however a full on constructions site, which you cannot see in the advertisement pictures, as they are building a restaurants there.. Overall it is still manageable to reach the rooms, especially when the weather is dry. However when it is rainy as in the days we arrived, this becomes a very muddy story with a slippery slope and dirty shoes. Construction noise was ok, as it was only an active site on 1 of our 2.5 days there. In defences of the owner, we did not have to pay the 3rd night at the hotel after we complained, but it is still maybe not the dream hotel you have in mind when booking this place online. At the end of our stay, the owner (with whom we only communicated via WhatsApp as he was not on site) cancelled our stay on booking.com and tagged us as a "no show". Idk why, I can only suppose it was not to leave a review but that is just a theory.
