Nestled in the Piney Woods of Mineola, Texas is a place called Rustic Trails Texas LLC. Take a trip into the woods and spend the weekend in this vintage replica of a western town and stay in this cabin also known as our Jail. Yes, it has real hand created blacksmith bars!
This adorable cabin offers a cozy retreat for guests. Many of the features have been created from the pine wood that was removed on the property and you will see it all throughout the cabin, including the beds. With 2 bedrooms including a king bed and a loft with two twin beds, along with a charming living room featuring a 55inch Roku TV and a futon for extra sleeping. The loft is currently only accessed via a ladder, and if heights are an issue, please consider another one of our cabins if you need the loft bedroom. There's plenty of space to unwind. The cabin also boasts a well-equipped bathroom with a shower, heating, TV, cooking equipment, and AC for a comfortable stay. This is a brand new development, so join us and be one of the first to explore!
Sweep back to the Western era in this cabin hidden in the East Texas Piney woods away from all the hustle and bustle. Rustic Trails Texas LLC's Jail Cabin is located in the properties 18 acres of Piney Woods and yet close to many local activities, sites to see, artist, antiques, shopping, and much more. But, if you just want to escape and get away, there is no better place to come. The surrounding woods bring you peace, rest, and restoration as you sit outside and take in the beauty of the natural nature that surrounds the cabin.
This fun cabin has actual jail bars and is actually walled with custom milled pine wood from the property. It has a refined rustic atmosphere that takes you back in time with the modern amenities. The outdoors is a beautiful natural wood area filled with wonderful vegetation to be explored. Great photo opportunities to share when you return home!
East Texas is a growing tourist retreat area with many events and venues to take part in. You can attend First Monday in Canton, view the Wood County Walls wall murals through out Wood County Trails, visit surrounding lakes, visit Miranda Lamberts Miranda Way in Lindale,
Old Mill Pond Museum in Lindale, Mineola's Nature Center, Mineola Depot and Railroad Museum, festivals, art, great food, wineries, entertainment, historic theater, antique shops, and so much more!

My daughter and I were fortunate enough to be the very first guests at the Rustic Trails jail house and it was such a fun experience! Marquita has put her heart and soul into this project and it shows in every detail. The craftsmanship throughout the cabin is incredible, and the beds are some of the most comfortable we’ve slept in. The cabin is tucked away in the woods with lots of privacy.We were greeted with thoughtful items like fresh cut flowers on the table, bottled water in the fridge, a coffee and tea basket, goats milk soap for the shower, and nice smelling shampoo and conditioner. Before arriving I said I was worried about cell coverage, and Marquita had a cell booster installed and waiting for me. It worked perfectly!What really sets Rustic Trails apart from other places are the guide book with every instruction and recommendation one could need, and the kids activity basket, filled with things to use for crafting, exploring, coloring, etc. My daughter had the best time working on a wooden puzzle whenever we had some quiet time. We were fortunate enough to meet and talk with Marquita, and she is delightful. She showed us around the property, and we got to see the other cabins which will soon be available, each with its own unique theme. We would gladly stay again!
