Suppose you are on a longer vacation somewhere and come from an environment that is drastically different from Zanzibar and this kind of lifestyle. In that case, it is vital that you have some support, help, and guidance. Here you will receive help in all areas that are important so that you can become domesticated as soon as possible and empathize with the surroundings, and begin to admire the beauty of the nature of this island in peace.

The things I may have comments about are not related to accommodation and are more socio-cultural in nature, related to the attitude of us who come from the so-called ‘United West’. But this is another topic that is not appropriate to comment on here. Maybe on some podcast.

The panoramic views are amazing. Maryam, who changed the bedding every 3rd day and tried hard to get the upper hand on the ants in the kitchen (surging from under sink cabinet) Mayan is a very friendly and helpful lady and efficient in what she is doing.

Constant nearly daily energy cuts, about 3 out of 4 days, starting usually at 6pm or 7pm for the rest of the evening until to midnight, what means no light, no television, no charging of iPhone or else. Twice a a consequence of this next morning no water (no shower, no coffee until to 10am or 11am) as the water pump is not working after electricity cut. This flat has also an ants in the kitchen area, even wiping the surface multiple times a day. A further issue has been twice during my stay very loud music from a beach party at the Kaure Sand Lodge next door, once until to 2.30am in the morning. Taxes and rates charged here very high for no Appartement without breakfast (hidden costs) I had a second booking for end of December after making the tour of spice island, I did cancel this second booking and left this stay two days earlier then paid for because of the problems I incountered and gave this as reason of cancellation to the owner 4 days ago, I did not get any reply from him since.
