Good location between Lucca and Pisa. Local family restaurants nearby serving quality and good value Italian food.

A lovely, comfortable, clean, small hotel between Lucca and Pisa with parking and a lift (for us old timers who struggle with luggage.) The hosts were very hospitable and wonderful! The restaurant at the site was wonderful in the evenings--delicious and very reasonably priced. The house wine was great. Among the dishes we ate were risotto, meat-filled ravioli Tuscan style, a substantial appetizer of mussels and clams, linguini with lobster, spaghetti carbonara, and spaghetti ala frutte de mari. All were wonderful, not to mention good pana cotta, creme brûlée, and tiramisu. I would love to return again!

We arrived late but the proprieters waited for us. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was perfect. We did not plan to visit Lucca but were encouraged to check it out. It was lovely and one of our favorite stops on our trip. Lovely city!

We have stayed at this hotel on various occasions over the past 3 years and have always been really pleased. The hotel is the perfect base from which to explore this part of Tuscany or as a staging post following a late arrival / early departure flight from Pisa. It is situated virtually midway between Pisa and Lucca (about 15 minutes to both) and very easy to find especially from Pisa airport (see hotel web site) A family run hotel with ample free parking, the staff are always welcoming, polite and very helpful for ideas of places to visit, many off the beaten track and away from the normal tourist haunts – delightful. The rooms we have had over the years have all been very airy and clean with TV, Wi-Fi and air conditioning. The bathrooms are functional and clean with good showers, fresh towels are always available if required. In our last room opening the doors onto our veranda gave us an excellent view over the mountains and although the hotel is situated on a fairly busy road only minimal noise could be heard. Breakfast is always excellent with a choice of the usual meat, cheeses, bread, croissants, local cakes, yogurts and fresh fruit. Coffee, tea, fruit juices or fresh chilled water is also available. The staff are always very cheerful at breakfast and can’t do enough for you. The breakfast table is always kept topped up and coffee refilled if required, it really sets you up for the day. The hotel restaurant is very popular with great freshly prepared food.
