Whisper Retreat Yangshuo Yulong River Garden

Yi is incredibly warm. She took me cycling along the Yulong River and to the local market. The guesthouse sits right in the Yulong River scenic area. The room is clean, the bed and pillows are amazingly soft and fragrant, and I can see mountain peaks right from my window. It's so quiet and peaceful here. In the evening, I went for a swim in the pool. And the breakfast! Yi made Guilin rice noodles, toast, and Russian pancakes, and shared some steamed buns. Such a happy trip in China.

The owner is incredibly helpful and ready to assist and make suggestions for food and activities nearby. The location is perfect - near enough to shops and restaurants that you don't need to go into Yangshuo & West st, but only a 15-30 yuan car ride if you want to. Right next to the bike path so easy to pop out for a quick ride or an all day - we went twice because it was so easy. The room was spotless with huge fluffy towels and high quality sheets/blankets. Every direction has a different incredible view, it was like sleeping in the best treehouse. Breakfast was sooooo good!!! I was worried about switching to a Chinese style of breakfast, but they gave us so many options and showed us how to eat some of the new food, we had new favourites after the first day :)

I would like to stay longer!! Not much to complain about, but some people might want to be aware that this is a working pastoral area, so if the occasional farming smell like burning leaves will bother you, either keep your windows/door closed or head out during those times: most burning seemed to happen in the late afternoons, but was only green waste, no plastics so didn't bother us at all.

The location is super The pool is so cool and the rooms and all area is very clean and high class They are very helpful and suited the breakfast to our requirements We are definitely come back!

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like

The property is spotless and offers high-quality amenities. We loved the fantastic view from our room and the beautiful swimming pool directly facing the karst hills. It is a wonderfully quiet and relaxing environment, and the owner and staff are incredibly accommodating and kind.
