Ground floor apartment in a superb location above the village of Ambleside.. All on the Ground Floor:

Washer/dryer (shared with other property). Pets by arrangement, to be kept on a lead in the garden. Private parking space for 1 car in front of the apartment. Visit England 4 Star.. The Garden Flat is a superb ground floor apartment at Badgers Rake with views over the fell. It is warm and comfortable with leather sofa and chair, dining table and chairs, a well-equipped kitchen and patio doors leading to spacious communal garden. With its enviable position above the village of Ambleside with magnificent views over Loughrigg and the surrounding fells, it is still just a short walk to the centre of Ambleside and all the local shops, bars and restaurants. From the front door, you can access Wansfell, amazing views and great walks.

Excellent location with a very lovely backyard! Did have the hardest time finding this flat even with great directions, could be that it's well hidden behind hedges! Either way, lovely stay.

Some reviews of this cottage I feel were very unfair, it's very well equipped , lovely and clean with stunning views.All the equipment worked perfectly. Yes the parking is tight but with care and following the advice to reverse in we had no issues.Overall very happy and would recommend it to anybody that was looking for a base to explore the lakes.

We really enjoyed our stay. Such an ideal location- close to town with lots of good walks/trails nearby. The apartment had everything we needed from kitchen stuff to games. The shared garden was lovey with great views and the apartment was nice and clean. Highly recommend!

A convenient location close to centre of Ambleside. Nice views and a shared garden. Bathroom was not a clean as I would expect though rest of property was fine.
Disadvantage was no wifi especially as all other properties in the block did. Quite expensive though this may have been due to covid pushing up prices. The heating took quite a lot of working out and remote for wall heater was broken with no battery.
Only little niggles though and we enjoyed our time there.
