Bedroom: 2 x Single (3ft) Beds. Gas central heating (controlled by the owners), electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. 24hr drying service. Forecourt parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. Dating back to the 18th century, this enchanting barn conversion, adjacent to the owners’ home, stands at the edge of the Georgian town of Richmond, enjoying magnificent views towards Richmond Castle. There are good riverside and woodland walks from the door, including Wainwright’s famous ‘Coast to Coast’ walk. The Yorkshire Dales National Park is nearby. Within easy reach are many historic houses to visit, or you could always have a day at the races at either Catterick, Ripon or Thirsk. The coast is also within easy reach for a day out (approximately 1 hour’s drive). An ideal holiday base. Shops ½ mile, inn serving real ale within 200 yards. There is convenient off-road parking outside the property next to the owners’ garden.

Great little base for exploring the area. The cottage has everything you need for your stay. We specifically wanted to spend some time in the town so only used the car once to pick up supplies from Catterick Garrison. There’s a nice pub just up the hill that serves excellent food and restaurants in town to cater for all tastes.

Excellent hosts, great communication with Jackie, made us feel like we was at home. Cottage was nice and clean. Designated Car park space outside, View from the front room was of the Castle. 5 to 10 min walk into town center, there was me, wife and my 5 year old and we had a great weekend.Highly recommend this place thank - you for having us.
