Gisban Wood Cabana & Hostel

The owner was such a sweetheart! I would 100% stay here again if I’m ever in Habarana. She was incredibly attentive and genuinely wanted the best for her guests. She was always happy to help with anything, from giving great recommendations for trips to finding solutions for transportation whenever needed. The breakfast was included with my stay, and it was honestly one of the best choices I made. She prepared a generous breakfast every morning, which was the perfect way to start the day. The best part was that she changed it up every day, so there was always something different to look forward to. The location is perfect as well. There are several restaurants within a 5–10 minute walk, and bus stops in all directions can be reached in less than 5 minutes. I would absolutely recommend staying here. It was such a lovely experience and a wonderful start to my holiday!

Beautiful property with a lovely owner. She makes delicious breakfast and is very kind.

Nothing

This accomodation is in a fantastic, quiet location and the family who run it are so nice. The room and bathroom are so spacious and clean and I also loved having a balcony to sit on to eat the delicious breakfast that was served daily. Thankyou for everything.

I had a really great stay here and honestly, it was such good value for money that I ended up extending my stay. I was originally only planning to stay for 2 nights, but I extended for another 3 nights because I was so comfortable here. The location is excellent. It was just a few minutes’ walk to supermarkets, bus stop, restaurants, and banks, so everything I needed was very convenient. The room was comfortable and had everything I needed, including AC, a Smart TV, and good Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi worked well enough for me to work online, which was a huge plus. The whole place also has a really chill and relaxed atmosphere, making it easy to feel at home. The free breakfast was also really good, and the portions were always generous, definitely more than enough to keep me full! And of course, the host was super nice, friendly, and helpful. She also arranged my safari to Minneriya National Park for me, which I highly recommend. It was one of the highlights of my stay in Habarana. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better stay. Great location, comfortable room, good breakfast, reliable Wi-Fi, and a genuinely friendly host. I would definitely stay here again!
