Beautifully appointed apartment, spotlessly, clean, perfectly situated in the heart of the market Square. Highly recommended for a stay in Bushmills!

The apartment is modern and well equipped and in a great location. Plenty of bars/places to eat close by together with a couple of supermarkets. In spite of being in the centre of the village, it was quiet enough (we were there on a Sunday/Monday night - other nights might be less peaceful). No parking at the apartment itself but we had no problem finding a space on the road opposite next to Centra supermarket.

The room layout appears to have been changed somewhat from how it was originally designed (based on where the electrical sockets are fitted). The sofa is where the dining table is presumably supposed to be so that it's difficult to watch the TV on the other side of the room, in spite of its size, and unless you're very short you bang your head on the light fitting hanging from the ceiling every time you get up from the sofa; this light looks like it was intended for illuminating the dining table. The apartment was superficially clean but not without its minor maintenance issues (e.g. dishwasher consumables in need of topping up). Our main concern was the shower roses which were clogged and black with mould and in need of a thorough descaling.

The apartment was in a great location right in the centre of Bushmills, we personally enjoyed visiting the Distillery (7 min walk) and the many National Trust sites nearby! It was simple and easy to park, find and get into the property. The apartment was fairly well equipped with some kitchen essentials e.g. tea/coffee and had a very comfy corner sofa!

The host did not respond to any of my messages/emails prior to our visit. The fan did not work and the toaster started smoking when we tried to use it. The bathroom towels were small and thin, and there were long black hairs on them and the bedding. The cleaners could have been more friendly, they banged on the apartment door at 11am on the dot while we were just getting shoes on and grabbing last few bags together. I opened the door and said 'Oh hello, sorry we will be out your way in just a minute!' He said 'It is 11am, time to go, time to go!!' as he tapped his watch. I responded 'Yes sorry, if you could just give us a minute. We have left the place in good condition though so should be an easy turn around' and he said 'Yeah sure...that's what they all say!!'. This left me with a sour taste after what was a lovely trip in Bushmills.
