WELCOME TO OUR COZY COTTAGE! This rustic, private, lakefront cottage (north shore of Lake Scugog) has 2 bedrooms (1 queen, 1 full/double), 2 bathrooms and a newly renovated large bright sunroom with sleeper sectional. You are sure to enjoy the lake view, large private dock, water facing deck with bbq, huge yard for games, bon fires and more. Located approximately 1.5 hours from Toronto, this cottage is the perfect place for couples or friends to escape the hustle and bustle, relax and unwind.
The space
Spectacular views. Nothing beats a morning coffee on the dock while the lake is still calm or a night around the campfire looking up are the stars.
Full private access to the property (excluding storage sheds).
2 kayaks (life jackets provided).
Cottage stocked with: linens (bedding provided for full bed and sleeper sectional), bath towels, cleaning supplies, garbage bags, toilet paper, paper towels, glassware, mugs, tableware, pots/pan, utensils, coffee, sugar, salt/pepper and a few other cooking/kitchen necessities. The kitchen is designed for light cooking only (there is NO hood fan). Please plan to utilize BBQ as much as possible.
Fishing off dock. Please note, a fishing licence is required.
In the winter, enjoy a walk down the frozen lake.
Things to know:
Well behaved pets are welcome, limit of 1, please inquire prior to stay. Pet rules and an extra $50 cleaning fee apply when staying with pets. Fee will be added if not paid at booking. Pets are not allowed in beds or on furniture.
No house parties, registered guests only.
Quiet hours between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM. Strictly enforced.
Lake Scugog is known to be weedy, and depending on the time of year and personal standard for swimming conditions, may not be suitable for swimming. This area of the lake traditionally has warm waters in the summer season.
This is cottage country, expect a rustic relaxing experience enjoying the outdoors and come prepare for inclement weather, insects and wildlife.

Guests booking for a 1 night stay must be 30 or older.
3 guest maximum. Additional guests may be permitted at the host’s discretion for an additional fee. Please enquire prior to arrival.
Recreational equipment such as Kayaks are strictly ‘use at your own risks’. The host will not be responsible for any injury caused by the use or misuse of any recreational items provided for your enjoyment.
If calendar is showing ‘host not available’ for your preferred dates, kindly enquire with your trip details as we may be able to accommodate.

We planned a last-minute getaway for my husband’s birthday and somehow stumbled upon this little gem, and what a lucky find it was.From the moment we booked, our host was incredibly responsive and helpful, which made everything feel easy and stress-free. The property was simple to find, and the moment we arrived, we knew we had lucked out. The place was absolutely beautiful and honestly surpassed our expectations.Waking up to the lake right in front of us felt like something out of a movie. Whether we wanted to sit outside and take in the peaceful scenery or stay cozy indoors, the solarium offered stunning lake views that made it hard to look away.And perhaps the biggest surprise of all? Our kitty absolutely loved it. As indoor cat parents, we weren’t sure how he would adjust, but this place was truly kitty-friendly. The quiet surroundings and peaceful property gave him the chance to safely explore, and to our amazement, he wanted to spend more time outside than inside.The area was peaceful, quiet, and exactly what we needed...a true oasis away from the hustle and bustle of the big city. By the end of our stay, we were already talking about coming back in the fall to experience it in another season.If you’re looking for a peaceful escape by the lake, we highly recommend this place. Sometimes the best trips are the unplanned ones, and this one turned out to be unforgettable.

The cabin was very cozy. We loved watching the sun rise on the lake and even getting a bit of sunset.

Everything was so great. The host was easy to communicate with. The cottage was clean and warm (even though the weather was cold outside). We enjoyed our quiet time there. Thank you Ke!

Overall the stay was exceptional. It would have been nice to have a dresser for our clothes and an egg flipper in the kitchen is needed but otherwise we loved it!
