The garden is beautiful. The house is nicely decorated, cozy. Good BBQ place and bath with view on the garden. The price, it is cheap.

-The pool water was green when we arrived, too dirty to swim the whole week. You need to clean the pool yourself and the previous guests didn’t do it (they celebrate holiday so you can’t blame them but the host did). We constantly cleaned the pool, it was quite some work. There is a pool boy but he didn’t show up on the agreed date, he arrived just before we left. He was supposed to clean the pool days before our arrival but he probably lies to Mary and doesn’t do his work. -The villa is impossible to find. The name of the street is the name of the neighbourhood, but the villa is on the other side of it. You receive a long instruction mail after booking but no route description! -The house is 500 m from the main road, you have to drive on a very rocky road, which took us 10 min. Not good for our normal car. -Cattle for boiling water is broken. - Roller shutters are not well functioning. -In the pictures there is a nespresso machine so we bought cups but there is no nespresso machine. -The beds are sagged, not really comfortable. - There was a fire, which came very close to the villa so we evacuated and called the emergency service. The firefighters where busy on the other side of the field and it took a long time for them to understand there are few houses on the other side of the field (outside the village, this because the street name is the same). So we went back to play firefighter ourselves with a neighbour. Later firefighters came to help. The whole experience was traumatic for the young children. Of course this probably doesn’t happen again but we did not see smoke detectors in the house. And while driving around the region we saw multiple fires, probably farmers burning trash…and in this dry area you cannot always control it. - Mary manages the villa from Belgium, which makes communication and maintenance difficult.
