This is a cute little apartment in an old Shanghai lane neighbourhood, and honestly the buildings around it are so cool—really distinctive. The place was really clean, and not just surface-level either; towels, bedding, cushions, all properly fresh. Location-wise it's great: super close to the metro lines at West Nanjing Road, so getting around is easy. And it's near the main sights too, which is a big plus.

Authentic Shanghai lane house apartment ideally located among the skyscrapers. The location is excellent for visiting cultural Shanghai, you can walk in any direction and find a famous landmark within 5 minutes. The facilities have everything you need and are of high quality. The host is excellent and extremely helpful. Perfect for both the real Shanghainese experience or a first time tourist visit

We had a good stay. The bed was good. We did enjoy the atmosphere of being in a local residency. The location is good.
I did not find the room as it was in the images on booking.com. I proposed the owners to update the room or the images on the site of booking.com. A shoehorn would have been nice. Also more cups and a bottle of water. Things to hang washed clothes on. A working TV. The shower did not drain well. The entrance to the room is not up to standard. I guess people expect a safe and clean passage from the street to the room. The owner said he would improve on these points and update the images to reflect the current status of the room.
