Nine uniquely designed rooms and one suite line the north side of Lookout Mountain, each with its own private balcony overlooking the Tennessee River Valley. Riverview Inn sits atop Lookout Mountain, just minutes from iconic attractions like Rock City, Ruby Falls, and the Incline Railway. Yet you're only a short drive from everything downtown Chattanooga has to offer — from the Tennessee Aquarium to the vibrant Southside district. Doesn't matter if your adventure leads up the mountain or into the city, it all starts here.
Fall is a full season in Lookout Valley. September brings Ironman Chattanooga through downtown, five minutes away, and Rock City opens its Enchanted Pumpkin Patch up the mountain from September 18 through October 31. Mid-October through early November is peak leaf season here, with the valley's pastures and foothills making for an easy scenic drive. Downtown fills up too, with Wine Over Water at Renaissance Park on October 10, World of Bluegrass October 20–24, and Head of the Hooch at Ross's Landing the first weekend of November, one of the largest rowing regattas in the country. Riverview Inn keeps you close to all of the autumn action.
Getting Around:
We recommend having a car during your stay — each unit is allotted one parking spot, with additional parking available on a first-come, first-served basis. Uber, Lyft, and local taxis are available in the Chattanooga area, though availability is limited on the mountain.
Once you're in downtown Chattanooga, street and public lot parking is reasonably priced. The free electric shuttle runs between the Choo Choo and the Tennessee Aquarium with stops every block — check CARTA's website for current schedules. And for the adventurous, Bike Chattanooga offers bike and e-bike rentals at 42 self-service kiosks around downtown.

PET POLICY:
We love furry adventurers! This property is pet-friendly and welcomes up to 2 dogs (50 lbs or under each). Breed restrictions and pet fees do apply — you'll find the full details in our house rules. We just ask that all pups be on their best behavior!
DEPOSITS:
Guests under 21 or those local to the Greater Chattanooga area will have a $200 refundable deposit applied after booking confirmation. As long as your stay follows our house rules — including our policy on registered guests and private gatherings — your deposit will be returned in full. Easy as that.
NO SMOKING:
To keep things fresh for every guest, all Timberroot properties are smoke-free indoors. This includes cigarettes, vapes, and e-cigarettes. A designated smoking area is located at the gazebo to the left of the Skybox. Please refer to your rental agreement for full details, including any fees associated with this policy.
SURVEILLANCE CAMERAS:
There are no surveillance cameras on this property.
CHECK-IN/OUT:
Check-in begins at 4:00 pm on the day of your arrival and check-out is at 11:00 am on your last day. Please contact Guest Services if you would like to request a different arrangement.
