Ortocastello Comfort Rooms

Quiet. Very clean, modern (recently renovated?), good use of space, good sized bedroom (we were a couple with a suitcase and backpack each), comfy bed, good en-suite, good water pressure as usual in Sicily for the shower but, compared to the half a doz other properties we had stayed in in Sicily, a very large modern shower. Good air con. Narrow, but large, windows in both bedroom and en-suite to allow natural air circulation if air con not your thing. Wardrobe with hanging space that should be ok for most travellers. Shared kitchen area - not an issue for us as 1/2 doz places within a 2-5 mins walk that had coffees/trad. Italian breakfasts. Very close to the centre of town (main drag) so excellent base for eating out/walking. About 6-700 m from the beach if you take the steps, longer if you walk the roadways. Our host met us on arrival, walked us thru’ the property etc.

Car parking - as with most Italian towns - an issue. We fluked one about 100m away in the same street. Left it there for the 2 nights and one full day we were there. Nothing the host can do about it. I understand she can offer parking for a small daily rate (comparatively speaking) but it wasn’t something we enquired about.

Beautiful room, clean and nicely decorated, great bed. The owner was super friendly.
