Sweet Rose Guest House Room 4

The location was spot on for our visits to Blenhelm palace over the weekend. The bed was comfy. The shower worked well with good water pressure and temperature stability. There was off road parking Theres a Sainsburys superstore a short drive away. There was a fridge which was a bonus.

The TV was small, but it was a Smart TV. The towels were small. The blinds in the living room looked tatty, which doesn't give a good first impression as you arrive at the property.

I stayed here for two nights. There is parking available at the front of the property and this is a bonus as parking in and around Oxford is a nightmare. The room was comfortable and clean. A fridge is provided in the room which is really good. Although it's situated on a main road, it was quiet and no problem at all. The other residents were quiet as well so easy to relax and sleep well. The host sent me all the instructions on the morning of my arrival re: how to enter the property which were easy to follow.

I was attending an event in Oxford which ended early on Sunday morning. The front door key lock would not work and I was left panicking about how to get entry into the property in driving rain as well. Fortunately after several attempts it worked. I informed the host about the battery being low on the mechanism later on. Apart from that blip, it was a good place to stay.

Good location, fan and fridge very welcome.

Road noise but to be expected.

Hot water, good shower

Hard bed. Thin duvet. No English tea.
