Welcome to The Cullisia, a restored 2-bedroom, 2-bath log cabin tucked beside a mountain creek in the Alarka community near Bryson City, NC. Originally built in 1892 as a mission and doctor’s office, this cabin was hand-hewn from American Chestnut by local craftsmen. In 2012, it was moved log by log and rebuilt with reclaimed materials and handcrafted details. Inside, enjoy a full kitchen, cozy living space, modern amenities, and Wi-Fi. Outside, relax on the covered porch by the creek. Just minutes from hiking, fishing, the Smokies, and downtown Bryson City, The Cullisia blends heritage and comfort.

The cabin was exactly what we expected and more. When you think of a cabin in the mountains this is what I imagine. Very clean and well stocked with everything you need for cooking. Perfect location.

This is an absolutely beautiful property. The cabin is not only beautiful, but very well appointed and comfortable. Its history is fascinating. The owner’s craftsmanship evident in the furniture and cabinets is wonderful. We feel very fortunate to have found this accommodation.
