About three weeks prior to my booking date, the host notified me that his apartment suffered severe water damage due to leaking pipes in the floor above. We agreed that I would keep the reservation with the understanding that there would be some cosmetic problems that he would not be able to address. He kept me informed of the progress he even arranged a backup apartment in the same building if his was not ready to go. When I arrived, I could see that there was still work yet to be done, but it was nothing that would prevent my staying in the property. He did not charge the full rate. Even though the apartment was not up to what I believe would be the typical standard for The View, my stay was comfortable, convenient and more than suitable. The location in the city center offers easy access to just about everyrhing Skopje has to offer. I recommend The View not just for the property, but for its host as well.

If you are acrophobic, be aware the ceiling to floor windows - which provide the view of the city - open directly to a railing and the open air.

This is a fabulous apartment and its biggest selling points are, funnily enough, the views, the location and the host. The host was extremely helpful and made sure he met me on arrival so I found the place without any problems. The 9th floor apartment has exceptional views over the city and up the mountain. It has a great sliding window system allowing you to have a floor to ceiling opening looking up to the mountain. It is very well equipped and offers tea/coffee/water, a washing machine, guide books and toiletries. It is located on the main river with a number of restaurants and a mall immediately outside where just about anything can be found. And it is a very short walk to the old town and the more modern central areas. And one tip for the area if you can leave town Matka Gorge - 15km out of town by cab. Absolutely stunning.

ev ve havalimanı arasındaki ulaşım çok rahattı. ev çok merkezi olduğu için illa taksi kullanmak zorunda kalmadık. havalimanı transfer araçları olan sav ile de ulaşım çok rahat oldu. hatta sefer ve ilk durak konusunda ev sahibi çok yardımcı oldu. ev şehrin merkezi sayılan holiday inn ile taş köprü arasında iki tarafa da max 2-3 dk lık yürüme mesafesinde. bundan dolayı her yere yakın olması çok işimizi kolaylaştırdı. eski çarşı denen bölge tam taş köprünün arkasında kalıyor ve ev ile max 5-6 dk sürmüyor bile. ev 9. katta olduğu için haç ve şehir manzarası var. görsel olarak da, gece çok güzel bir manzarası oluyor. temizlik konusu ise, eve gitmeden biraz endişeliydim ama kesinlikle temizdi. ev sahibi çok kibar ve yardımseverdi.

sadece fotograflarda fark etmemişim ocak yoktu. mikrodalga ve fırın vardı. küçük oğlum olduğu için kahvaltıda yumurta falan pişirebiliyor olsam daha güzel olabilirdi. çünkü şehirde börek, tost dışında bildiğiniz türk usulü kahvaltı yoktu.
