chose this hotel because it seemed to be a seamless part of an old, charming Bavarian town known for its "painted" buildings, and it was just that...charming! Every inch of the building held something useful or interesting, and knowing that this is an older building it was not surprising that there is not an elevator to carry luggage to upper floors, probably the only downside of staying here. Enjoyed the evening dinner and nice breakfast foods at the hotel, and especially the zither player and his music in the evenings! Mittenwald is beautiful and interesting and a lovely place to visit.

Room was ok, bit small.
Very loud right in front of the window. Room had no A/C, but due to loud outside, also cannot open window.
Breakfast was nice, location apart from noise was great
