Originally built in 1940 and thoughtfully updated, Little Sweden offers the perfect Northwoods getaway with stunning lake views, a private dock, spacious outdoor living areas, and all the comforts of home. Whether you’re planning a family vacation, fishing trip, couples retreat, or weekend escape, you’ll find everything you need to relax and enjoy the beauty of Lake Vermilion.
Wake up to the peaceful sounds of the lake, enjoy coffee on the oversized deck, spend your day fishing, boating, kayaking, or exploring Lake Vermilion, and then gather around the fire pit to enjoy spectacular sunsets and star-filled skies.
Cabin Features
• Three comfortable bedrooms located on second level
• Two updated bathrooms
• Fully equipped kitchen with cookware, dishes, and essentials
• Fresh paint and updated furnishings throughout
• Unique black spiral staircase (professionally installed in 2026 and up to code)
• Updated landscaping and outdoor spaces
• Mini-split system (air conditioning) professionally installed in June 2026.
• Spacious deck with beautiful Lake Vermilion views
• Private dock for easy lake access

**Please note - our dock will be removed for the season on October 19, 2026. The public landing located one mile away is still available until lake freeze up.**
Lake Vermilion is known for its outstanding walleye, northern pike, muskie, bass, and panfish fishing, and Little Sweden is set up to make your fishing trip easy and enjoyable.
• Parking for up to two trucks and one boat trailer
• Electrical outlet at the dock for charging boat batteries

The property is very nice and me and my sons had a great time fishing. It is obvious that you have put alot of work and pride into the cabin. Great location and perfect pier and waterfront. The cabin was very clean and well-stocked. We would definitely stay here again!

The cabin was as described on the website. The location was perfect for our weekend needs. The dock was fantastic. Overall, the cabin was clean and well stocked. Seriously thinking about renting again next year

Cabin itself was nice. Stairs up to bedrooms are more like a ladder, was OK for us, but people with range of motion issue would have had problems. Parking was not good for 2 trucks and boat trailers. Mouse traps all over the cabin, and last morning we found mouse droppings on top of the comforter on one bed as we prepared to leave. Power at the dock was in a shed and you need at least 100' extension cord if you are going to plug in your boat for charge.
