Quietside Loft is a BRAND NEW Renovated 2nd Floor Apartment that was completed in 2025 in Southwest Harbor. The entire building was once a barn that has now been converted into 2 separate apartments. The Loft has a deck off of the living room as well to enjoy the outdoors and a desk to help anyone working from the unit!

-The property consists of 5 acres and another large rental is on the other side of the property and is separated by a large parking area.
-Grills are available for use late April until the end of November

Overall, we had a good stay and enjoyed the property. The home itself was clean, comfortable, and met our needs. There are just a few areas that could be improved to make the experience even better for future guests.One thing to note is the location. The property is accessed via a very rough and poorly maintained road, which was a bit unexpected. It would be helpful to mention this more clearly in the listing so guests know what to expect before arrival.A welcome book would also be a great addition. We had difficulty figuring out how to operate the mini-split units, and some basic instructions would have been very helpful. Including local restaurant menus, recommendations, and other area information would also be a nice touch.Cell service is not just “spotty” as described. We found it to be essentially nonexistent, so guests should plan accordingly.The bathroom could use additional towel racks or hooks, as there wasn’t quite enough space to hang towels for our group.A few maintenance items are worth mentioning as well. When we used the grill, the propane tank had been left on by a previous guest. It may be helpful to add a reminder asking guests to shut the propane off after use. The grill brush also needs to be replaced, as it is very worn and no longer effective for cleaning the grates.For the kitchen, it would be nice to have a slightly larger selection of basic spices beyond salt and pepper. Small items such as garlic powder, onion powder, or seasoning

This is a great place to stay in the Southwest Harbor area. Very quiet area at the end of the road. We had neighbors in the downstairs apt a few nights and never heard them. Everything was clean. Coffee was provided. Plenty of supplies for the 4 nights we stayed. Beds were comfortable. I would not hesitate to book this place again.

Felt very private with a beautiful view of the woods. Well equipped kitchen, incredibly clean and good space for our family of four, which included our college age daughters. Extra blankets for the beds would have been nice, but the heat does eventually kick in. Also would have been nice to have an eye-level mirror somewhere other than the dark corner of the bathroom. We enjoyed being close to the hikes on the west side of the park.
