Location, location, location. And the living room was very cozy.

By the time property management sent an automated (?) email saying the link would explain how to enter the property - but it was just directions to get there - I should have known I was in for a ride. (By the way, such communication can easily remain in the Booking.com app. Everything else is cumbersome and clutters the emails.) That there were no towels and sheets when we arrived, was almost amusing. Mistakes can happen. But it was disappointing that there was still no dishwashing soap, a tea towel, or, as is standard in every apartment we have rented in Italy, coffee capsules since there are many different types of coffee machines. There is also no frying pan (only two steel pots) and no electric kettle to heat water. According to the listing, there is an electric kettle and a microwave (but there isn’t). Furthermore, there are parts that haven’t aged well. A wardrobe with sliding doors where the doors have fallen out of the tracks and can’t be opened, the stainless steel kitchen bench top is rusted, the cable to the coffee machine (without pods) “repaired” with tape. To round it off, on day two of our 3-day stay an automated (?) email announced that we would be leaving “today”. No. In conclusion: the place has good bones but management needs to think about whether it is worth its money.

Truly excellent in every way. Loved everything about this property. The pickup of keys worked seamlessly, excellent communication, beautifully clean, comfortable and central. I will return here. Thank you Corte Portici.
