Upon arrival, we were greeted with a big friendly smile, showed us to the apartment and allowed us to leave our bags there prior to check in until the unit was ready for us. This location can not be beat! 5 minute walk to the Colosseum and 30-40 minute walk from many other places you'll want to visit while in Rome. Comfortable, clean accommodations with a private balcony. We immediately felt at home and had everything we needed either in the apartment or very close by. I would recommend anyone stay here as long as you're ok with stairs.

Beautiful location - lovely terrace We recently stayed at Monti Loft al Colosseo during our trip to Rome. The location was fantastic and made it easy to explore the city, with many attractions, restaurants, and cafés nearby. The apartment itself was spacious and had a lot of potential.

One of the main issues was that the apartment felt quite cluttered in places. Several drawers were filled with tools and miscellaneous items, and the upstairs area also contained a lot of stored belongings and random junk. It gave the impression that the space was being used for storage rather than being fully prepared for guests, which made it feel less clean and welcoming than we expected. We also had ongoing problems with the hot water. The showers would only stay hot for around 10 minutes before turning cold, which made it difficult for more than one person to shower comfortably, especially after long days out exploring Rome.

The location is fabulous, and the host was very responsive. We needed a few kitchen supplies and he brought them without issue. The patio is so nice for eating outside!

We knew there were stairs, but there are a LOT. Just be aware. The sitting furniture could be improved: the chairs were tough to get comfortable in and there are not any places to hang things in the bathroom. Lastly, there are a few toe stubbers in the house: the loft stairs, the bathroom entry, and the foot of the bed. I would also recommend the host provide a kitchen towel or paper towels so the bath towels don’t get stained.
