Welcome to beautiful Thuringia.
The lovely town of Treffurt is idyllically situated on the Werra River, right in the former border region. With its beautiful castle, narrow streets, and half-timbered houses, Treffurt has a very special charm.
The district of Schnellmannshausen is part of Treffurt; “Schnelli,” as the locals call it, lies at the foot of the Heldrastein, which is considered Thuringia’s most beautiful viewpoint.
This is exactly where my guesthouse—Alte Schmiede—is located.
