The Chaparon Refuge is a unique apartment located in an old, recently renovated farmhouse. Built entirely of wood and stone, it is warm and inviting, yet modern in its amenities.
As someone passionate about travel, nature, and the great outdoors, my career as a filmmaker has allowed me to experience many different cultures. It is now my pleasure to welcome you for your stay on the shores of Lake Annecy.
The Accommodation
The Refuge de Chaparon is welcoming, cozy, spacious, and bright. It’s the perfect place to enjoy with a partner, family, or friends.
It consists of a 40-square-meter room featuring a bar at the entrance, a fully equipped kitchenette, a dining area, a living room with a sofa and a sofa bed, and two large bunk beds (king size).
With a wood-and-stone ambiance, some of the planks are 400 years old, and the bathroom sink is made of petrified wood that’s over 25 million years old! You’ll take a trip back in time without sacrificing your comfort.
Free Wi-Fi and high-speed fiber internet, 4K TV, and a sound system are available.
Board games, books, and equipment for fondue and raclette are at your disposal.
The bathroom is comfortable and spacious.
You’ll also have access to a small private outdoor terrace as well as a shared garden. You can sample seasonal fruits and vegetables from the organic permaculture garden.
The terrace under the bamboo trees is an idyllic spot, next to a small pool and near the cave house, a wood-fired sauna inspired by a famous New Zealand film.
