The view was awesome, the location was perfect for us - the steep stairs were a challenge and there were a lot of them. We did not have access to the 3rd bathroom and had to contact the host to ask where it was hidden (the flat has a squiggly layout and lots of nooks and crannies -very characterful). The reply was that there was a sudden 'tap issue'.

the 'loss' of using a 3rd bathroom - was one of the reasons we booked the place so each guest could have their own facilities! Really this should have been flagged as an issue when we arrived - can't quite get why it wasn't. Carrying a case up the stairs is a real challenge - carrying down even more of a challenge! Could not have managed to do this with a big suitcase tho' the host did kindly offer to help if it was needed.

Breakfast,- not applicable. Location - central and very good. Good eating and drinking at the Pelham Arms, on the other side of High Street. Plenty of other places serving breakfast within walking distance. Own cooking, in the very well equipped kitchen, would have been easy but we decided not to, during our very short stay. One day was spent at a large wedding in Newick followed by a reception at Firle Place, which reduced need for cooking as well.

A surprisingly spacious top floor flat with three very lovely bedrooms and great views. The kitchen was really well equipped and the hosts extremely friendly and helpful. We had a toddler and a baby and the hosts provided us with a cot and high chair, changing mat etc. Bed linen and towels lovely too. We were there for a wedding in Lewes and the situation was perfect, near pubs, shops and restaurants and relatively quiet.

The property was presented in an excellent manner, very clean, with good quality of furnishing and equipment. The kitchen was well stocked with anything you may need, and as an unexpected bonus, there were basic provisions provided in the fridge. Thank you. An air conditioning unit in the property was another unexpected bonus and was particularly useful in the heat. We unfortunately didn't have much time in the property to appreciate it more as we were attending a family wedding and therefore we out of the property most of the time :-(

The only small grumble, which was due to our family stay, was the steep, narrow stairs to gain access, which would not have been a problem for most of us except that we had with us an 86-year-old, so she found this difficult.
