Sujet Beach Hotel Da Nang by Haviland

The property was conveniently located an easy 20-minute walk from the beach. The hostel rooms form part of the hotel and the female dorm was clean and comfortable with beds with an in-built light and plug and curtains for privacy. Breakfast was available for a price in the mornings, but it is also located near some small cafes. Staff were lovely and helpful - I extended one more night at the reception directly and they kindly let me stay in the same bed and room. The toilet and washing facilities could have been a lot cleaner but as they are shared amongst all hostel rooms the footfall I suppose is greater. The walls of the rooms have glass fronts which means the light and noise from the reception area can come through but it wasn’t too much of an issue for me, but always worth highlighting.

Staff were friendly, reception area was nice and welcoming, bed was comfortable and room was cool enough, with a good thick curtain and big lockers.

The female dorm did not feel safe. It felt like anyone could just walk in off the street into the dorm areas and our room was the first one in the area. There should be another lockable door between the pool area and the dorms. The air conditioning unit was leaking in the dorm. Some male guests were making noise around 12-1am (extremely loud talking, yelling, playing music) in the pool area which is right next to our dorm. The staff did nothing about this until me and another girl went and asked them twice to turn it down, and after the staff must have come out after I messaged them via booking.com. It is not a 'party hostel' so there should be some sort of enforcement of rules around noise. The dorm was quite tight and hard to access lockers if anyone was packing up. The bathrooms were pretty gross, with no hooks on the doors of the showers and no where to hang towels, clothes or toiletries bags.
