Very simple house in a calm environment, the appartment is clean and the host made sure every single accessory needed is available.

Great owner who helped me fix my luggage after a wheel broke. Fast Wi-Fi and a smart TV to watch Netflix and YouTube. Having a washing machine is very practical in the Dakar heat. Good water pressure in the shower. Good storage and large beds in rooms. Nice blackout curtains to block the sun. No bugs or roaches. Nice cleaning lady

Pillows were terribly stiff and firm; uncomfortable. The blanket provided was way too hot and itchy for Dakar weather; the other option was just a flat sheet. I booked a ground floor unit, but was given a third floor unit. Going up the narrow stairs daily with no holding ramp in the excessive heat become a problem after a few days in Dakar. Some important things were missing: I did not find a can opener or scissors in the kitchen. No trashcan in the bathroom which is a must for women. No full length mirror; there is a mirror on the bedroom dressing in one room only, but you cannot see your full outfit from head to toe because the mirror is too small. The mirror on the bathroom wall is placed quite high so couldn’t see much. No hand towels for bathroom. We used the kitchen dish towel but nowhere to hang it in bathroom after washing hands, not even a hook by the sink. A roll with 1/4 left of toilet paper was provided. We bought our own. Only three towels provided for two people for a 6-day stay. I know there is a washer in the unit, but the electricity is pay-as-you-go in Dakar and we literally had to add money to our account every day, so we tried to limit washing. No paper towels or napkins provided. No clothes pins to secure clothes on very high clothes line to dry on the rooftop terrace so they don’t fly away. No drying rack in unit to hang small items like underwear and socks. AC in living room hardly cools. Impossible to fully open a suitcase between the walls and the beds. When my friend asked for a late checkout, she was told that the next guest was arriving shortly and they only had one hour to clean so it was impossible to accommodate her, which is totally understandable. Then when my friend wanted to extend her stay and pay for an extra day, her request was accepted. Upcoming guest no longer an issue.
