We loved this cabin. It is so peaceful. It’s furnished very nicely, everything was clean and the kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed to cook a meal. The only complaint we had was the porch hadn’t been cleaned. We swept it, vacuumed the rug and cleaned the pollen from the table and chairs. After that was done, we enjoyed it immensely! We will definately come here again!

The property was beautiful, clean, and we were pleasantly surprised by how stocked the kitchen was in regards to cooking supplies!! We love to cook, so we were happy to have a wide array of tools at our disposal. We enjoyed coffee on the large covered porch overlooking a quaint, forested yard. The property was everything we wanted from our rental. We were easily able to get up and down the driveway without 4wd even after heavy rains, and there was a food lion within 15 minutes of us, so we got to enjoy isolation while still having access to a nearby town without it being a major inconvenience. There were heavy unexpected rains, which interfered with the running water for the property. The owner of the property was quick to respond, deeply apologetic, and frantically worked to get the issue resolved. The company that runs the vrbo account, or whoever is in charge of handling the messages on vrbo was snippy and dismissive. We reached out a little bit before 5pm when we lost our running water. Despite us responding quickly and asking questions in hopes of resolving the issue ourselves, the person responding vanished after 5pm-- mid-conversation-- as it seems clocking out was more important than us being able to flush the toilets, shower, or wash our hands. After going back and forth with this person all day on our anniversary, they finally gave us the number to the actual property owner, who was a very kind breath of fresh air and was able to immediately resolve our issues.

Very clean remote cabin, perfect getaway!

I really want to give this place a higher review but this place needs some TLC. The cabin has everything you would need for a peaceful relaxing stay however you first must navigate a small gravel road in pretty good shape with a 5 degree incline, not too bad. Second, you then have to make a 150 degree turn into a steeper gravel driveway of about a 12 degree slop. Finally, there are few spots that have large ruts developing, one right when you first turn in and second right at the very top that would bottom out most cars. There are also spots along the side of the driveway that have reflectors letting you know the road is slowly eroding away and there are several soft spots that need attention. Lucky for us it did not rain during our stay and we had a 4x4 with us, not sure a low profile car could make it up if it rained. As I mention this driveway needs some serious work which caused this! (See picture below). I don’t suggest bringing street motorcycle, or any towed motorcycle trailers to this property. The driveway is not in good enough shape. I hope this review helps others make informed decisions before they book this property.
