## Emplacement
The 5th arrondissement of Paris is a very diverse district, at once historic, student-oriented, residential and tourist-friendly. It includes the famous Latin Quarter, known for its large student population, bookstores, universities and lively atmosphere. Its name comes from the fact that, during the Middle Ages, teaching in this university area was conducted in Latin.

The district is also home to iconic landmarks such as the Panthéon, Rue Soufflot, one of the most elegant streets in the area, as well as numerous Gallo-Roman remains, which reflect the ancient history of Paris. Altogether, this makes it a very popular area for visitors, combining heritage, culture and local neighbourhood life.

More recently, the 5th arrondissement has also gained visibility thanks to the series **Emily in Paris**, with several scenes filmed around **Place de l’Estrapade**, which has become a popular spot for many fans. This exposure further strengthens the district’s tourist appeal, while preserving its authentic Parisian charm, with its small streets, cafés, local shops and historic monuments.
