栖云居酒店 上海浦东机场店Shanghai Qiyunju Hotel - 24-hour free airport pick-up and drop-off Airport, 24-hour professional butler service, spacious room layout with great sense of space, relaxing spa massage service

Shuttle service to/from airport is quite efficient, staff is nice and helpful and even though there was no food at the hotel the staff was helpful with finding options for either delivery or using the shuttle to take me back and forth to/from the airport

There isn't a metro station close to the hotel but the shuttle service to/from airport was quite effective

The hotel was about 15 mins drive from Pudong airport. The room size was adequate. The two young men at the reception that day spoke quite good English and were extremely helpful. They offered me a different room in a larger building when they couldn't find the key card to the original room. The double room was adequately sized with ensuite and windows and was clean. All amenities were provided apart from coffee or tea bags, despite having a kettle in the room. Tea & coffee making was available at a dinning area near reception. A menu of food was available to order by telephone. My overseas phone only had data and not normal phone facility. The young man kindly used his phone to order food for me. The shuttle to the airport the next morning was as expected.

I booked the Shanghai Qiyunju Hotel to be close to Pudong airport for my next morning flight and to be near to the observatory for a visit. The hotel was in a rather rundown suburb with extensive constructions going on. As advised by the hotel messages, I added them to my weChat app to communicate with them. Unfortunately I was given old information with regards to the times and place of the pick-up and of course missed the pick-up bus. I took a taxi there and was charged(scammed) 120 yuan for the 15 mins journey. The hotel was a single story building with an English name as depicted in hotel images provided. Reception was a long table with only a monitor on it and was not manned. A note on the door instructed guests where to go to check in. It took me a while to find out where that was, partly because of misunderstanding the instructions. When I eventually did, it was a bigger 2-storey building and the reception was attended by a young man who spoke quite good English. I explained the issues I had and was told the weChat person I dealt with is a different contact(outsourced) from the reception staff.

Clean and comfy bed

Gym should be able to use (heard from staff that it needs to be fixed)
