We have been frequent visitors to Torquay over the years. This is certainly the nicest hotel we have stayed at in the area to date. The position on the sea front with very close proximity to public transport was brilliant for pensioners of our age. Both Torquay and Paignton town centres are within reasonable walking distance.
The bedroom was beautiful with an incredible view of the bay. The breakfast selection was good and the food was really enjoyable. We used the spa once and found it to be excellent and value for money. Parking availability under the hotel is very convenient.
We only had one evening meal in the hotel which was on the first night of our visit. The service was very slow, in that drinks from the bar took 20 minutes to arrive after ordering from the waitress and the main food course took just over an hour to be served. We didn't complain as we were in no rush, however the food when it did arrive was nice. My wife and I have been dog owners in the past, but find the current trend of dogs being allowed to accompany owners into restaurants objectionable. We were disappointed to find this is deemed acceptable at the hotel.

On arrival it was not sure where the reception was.
