Channa Hotel and Rest Labookellie

Llegamos al alojamiento en coche y pudimos aparcar en la misma puerta. Las personas que gestionan el alojamiento son super amables. Llegamos tarde y cansados y cuando nos dimos cuenta ya habían cerrado la tienda/restaurante que tienen encima del hotel. En los alrededores no hay ningún sitio donde ir a comer. Nos dejaron entrar en la tienda y comprar lo que quisiéramos para comer y fueron tan amables de hacernos una sopa de sobre y llevarnosla a la habitación y así pudimos cenar la mar de tranquilos y agradecidos. Las vistas desde la habitación son espectaculares. La habitación es amplia y la cama también.

El baño necesitaría alguna mejora, tanto en actualizarlo, pero sobretodo en poner alguna mosquitera en la ventana que impidiera que entraran bichos. Justamente por esto, hubiera agradecido una mosquitera en la cama. Nos avisaron que a las 5 a.m. llaman al rezo desde una mezquita cercana, pero lo que no nos esperábamos es que la llamada durara hasta las 5.30h. En cualquier caso, y teniendo en cuenta los horarios que adoptamos en el viaje para aprovechar las horas de luz, no fue un drama despertarnos a esa hora. El desayuno es abundante a base de rice and curry. Agradecimos que se tomaran la molestia de preparanos 3 currys que no fueran picantes, aún así, para mí (y esto es algo muy personal) se me hace muy duro desayunar rice and curry y hubiera preferido algo más suave......pero esto forma parte de la experiencia de viajar. El alojamiento está a 1h en coche de la ciudad de Nuwara Eliya, en dirección a Kandy. A nosotros ya nos fue bien esta ubicación en la organización de nuestro viaje, pero es importante tenerlo en cuenta.

This is a great hotel with a spectacular (!) View. The owner and his family and staff were friendly and attentive and even took care of our tuktuk. The room is very spacious and since there is a restaurant and a store right upstairs, we were always provided with everything we needed.

You can't really close the room due to how it's build, so expect mosquitos. Also we were woken up to the sound of a very load lawn mower right next to our window in the morning, but apart from that we were very satisfied.

This property is outstanding value for money! We had no idea the room we booked would have such a magnificent view and huge wraparound windows! The vibe of the place is amazing and this is the best hot water shower we’ve had in Sri Lanka. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, there is parking and also a store upstairs so convenient. We had the rice and curry for dinner and it was excellent and huge! Very convenient access to Bluefield Tea. The room and the bed were absolutely enormous and so lovely and cosy. Also had a desk to work and drink on arrival!!

Nothing
